Amazu Slaw
This amazing Amazu Slaw recipe is quick to make and packed full of vibrant, zesty, authentic Japanese flavours. For those who don't know, "amazu" is a traditional Japanese vinegar dressing that works so well in a slaw when you're looking for something lighter than mayonnaise.
Using Mizkan Pickling Liquid for a masterfully-crafted touch of vinegar adds new levels of deliciousness. Give it a try!
For the slaw
- ½ red cabbage, thinly sliced
- ½ white cabbage, thinly sliced
- 1 large carrot, thinly sliced
- 2 spring onions, thinly sliced
- Sesame seeds, garnish
For the dressing
- 60ml Mizkan Pickling Liquid
- 30ml lime juice
- 30g honey
- 20ml sesame oil
- 15ml soy sauce
- 5g grated ginger
- 5g garlic clove
- Salt the cabbages for 10 mins then wash away the salt. Dry the cabbage and mix with the carrot and spring onion. For the dressing, mix all of the ingredients in bowl.
- To serve, dress the vegetables in the dressing, garnish with sesame seeds. Enjoy!
