Teriyaki Pulled Pork Sandwich

In this recipe, classic American BBQ meets authentic Japanese umami with Mizkan Teriyaki Sauce. Sweet and savoury, the glossy sauce is the perfect partner to the soft, slow-cooked pork. This is fusion at its most delicious!

  • 21/kilo boneless shoulder of pork
  • 6 tbsp Mizkan Teriyaki Sauce
  • Soft bread rolls, to serve
  • Coleslaw
  1. Place the pork in a large casserole dish, skin side up and rub all over with salt.
  2. Pour in 600ml vegetable stock, cover with foil then cook in the oven at 150C/Gas 2 for approximately 4 -5 hours until the meat is falling apart.
  3. Remove the meat from the casserole dish and cut away the fat.
  4. Using two forks, pull the meat apart until fully shredded.
  5. Return to the casserole dish with the juices and add the Mizkan Teriyaki Sauce. Toss everything together well.
  6. Serve spooned onto soft rolls with crunchy mixed vegetable slaw.
