Japanese Loaded Fries
Whether you call them "Loaded" or "Dirty" fries, you can add lots of deliciously authentic Japanese flavour using Mizkan Yuzu Ponzu! This recipe guides you through the creation of a mouthwatering Yuzu Ponzu gel and a lip-smacking Yuzu Ponzu sweet chilli mayo to drizzle over the fries. Topped with fresh herbs, they'll have people fighting over every last fry!
For The Yuzu Ponzu Gel
- 2 Part Mizkan Yuzu Ponzu
- 1 Part Ultratex
For The Yuzu Ponzu Sweet Chilli Mayo
- 3 Parts Plain mayonnaise
- 1 Part Mizkan Yuzu Ponzu
- 1 Part Sweet chilli sauce
- For the Yuzu Ponzu gel, pour Yuzu Ponzu into a bowl with the Ultratex and whisk until thickened to treacle consistency.
- For the Yuzu Ponzu sweet chilli mayo, put the mayo into a bowl with the Yuzu Ponzu gel and sweet chilli sauce. Mix until combined. Add more Yuzu Ponzu and sweet chilli sauce, to taste.
- Cook the fries and serve the with the gel and mayo drizzled on top. Finish with fresh chives, crispy onions, and sliced spring onion.
