Yakitori

Traditional Japanese Yakitori involves barbecuing meat on a skewer, often over Japanese binchotan charcoal. We've added layers of flavour to this classic Japanese street food with Mizkan Yuzu & Green Chilli Sauce. Those zesty yuzu citrus flavours and warm chilli notes are the perfect complement to the charred meat!

  • 300g chicken thigh
  • spring onion, sliced
  • 60g Mizkan Yuzu & Green Chilli Sauce 60g
  • 9g soy sauce
  • 54g Mizkan Mirin
  • 12g Saikyo miso
  • 10g sesame seeds
  1. Cut your chicken into bite-size chunks and skewer with alternate pieces of chicken and spring onion pieces.
  2. Whisk together the soy, Mizkan Yuzu & Green Chilli Sauce, Mizkan Mirin, Saikyo miso, and sesame seeds.
  3. Barbeque over binchotan charcoal or in a hot grill, glazing with the dressing until cooked.
  4. Season with shichimi for an extra kick (optional) and serve the dressing on the side.
